How Neuro-Developmental Exercises Improve Motor-Sensory Skills
Neuro-developmental exercises are a key part of improving motor-sensory skills in children with neurodivergent needs like ADHD or Autism. These exercises help the brain and body communicate more effectively, building stronger neural pathways.
Boosting Coordination and Balance: Simple movements like crawling, balancing, or reaching across the body strengthen the brain's motor control areas. This improves coordination and balance, making everyday tasks like dressing or writing easier.
Enhancing Sensory Processing: Exercises that involve touch, balance, and body awareness help children process sensory information better. Activities like pushing or pulling heavy objects can help calm children and reduce sensory overload.
Supporting Cognitive Function: Engaging in movements that involve both sides of the body strengthens connections between the brain's hemispheres. This boosts attention, problem-solving, and emotional control, which are essential for learning and behaviour management.
Focused Breathing and Positive Imagery for Mental Health
Focused breathing and positive imagery techniques are simple but powerful tools for improving mental health in children.
Improving Emotional Control: When children imagine positive, peaceful scenarios while practicing focused breathing, they can shift their attention from negative thoughts. This helps them handle stress and emotions in a more bal
Calming the Nervous System: Deep breathing activates the body’s relaxation response, reducing stress hormones and helping children manage anxiety more effectively. This technique is especially useful in stressful moments, promoting calm and focus.
Building Confidence: Positive imagery—visualising success or calm situations—helps children build resilience and reduce worry. Over time, this technique can boost confidence in their ability to manage difficult situations, improving overall mental wellbeing.

It’s ready, but not yet for sale… but you can get it free if you’re happy to help…
So after many years of work, i’ve finally created all 60 programmes. But just like how the school version didn’t go out until it was tested to get it just right, so to this programme.
So I’m running pilots, I’m opening to doors to you give you the first opportunity to get this programme, for free, with support. What I need is feedback about your experience. Anything and everything from the design of the programme, the assessments, the content and of course how the programme went.
I can probably manage to support around 20 - 30 families. There’s no cost, no commitment requirement, the name of your child never has to be shared. But I’d love to build a dialogue and a community. I’ve dreamt of creating this programme for so many years, and have worked to do it for just as many.
